Crawling?

So I am pretty sure we cannot classify it as crawling yet, but when on a slick surface such as the hardwood floors Bug is able to push himself in a backward direction. He also gets around pretty well linking several directional rolls. For now we will enjoy our not-so-childproof house.

And no teeth to report at 7+ months. Of course with every bit of crankiness or drop of drool, mom and dad are convinced he is teething.

Going Fishin’

Our family friend Francyne brought Bug this fishing hat. Unfortunately, the photo does not show the cute detail she added to it.

Nanny Amanda has nicknamed him 'Chia-Head' as his hair has been really growing lately. (Again, this picture does not show his hair.) Must be his love of applesauce and rice cereal!

What the photo does show is our precious little guy. He is waving, rolling all over, and has a desire to crawl and stand up.

Labor-Free Day

We enjoyed a hike with friends in WP on Labor Day.

Thursdays with Mags

While mom is back at work, Bug spends one day a week with our friends the Makis. Kristin watches Bug and he enjoys playing with her daughter Magnolia and all of her pink toys. Kristin says they have even developed their own ‘language’ and enjoy ‘talking’ to each other throughout the day.

6-Months

Bug passed his 6-month check-up. He weighed in at 17 lbs and is 26” in length. (SH told him to enjoy it while his inches are greater than his pounds!) He didn’t much enjoy the shots, but has been a champ.

Camping on the Arkansas

We attended Max & Suzy’s wedding celebration on the Arkansas River. We enjoyed 2 nights of camping in our rented pop-up camper—wow, we could get used to that! SH guided Suzy’s Czech family down the river while Bug and mom went for a hike.

Nanny Share Day 1

This post should probably be titled…”Where is mom and why did daddy dress me in this outfit on a 90+ degree day?” While mom goes back to work part-time, we are nanny sharing with our friends the Flemings. Bug loves playing with baby Ryan and nanny Amanda 2 days/week.
